Fundra rethinks how people participate in fundraising. Instead of treating donations as one-time transactions, the platform structures contribution as a transparent, milestone-driven system. The goal was to design a scalable participation model that builds trust through clarity and defined roles

Traditional platforms focus on emotion: one creator, many donors, pooled goals. Contributors lack visibility and defined roles, leading to confusion and unclear impact.
Design Challenge: How might we create a fundraising system that makes participation, transparency, and cumulative impact obvious and actionable?

Mental Model Shift
Fundra reframes fundraising from a transaction into structured participation. Instead of asking “How much was raised?”, the system asks “Which milestone are we progressing toward?”
Key shifts include:
Defining contributor roles: Creator, Joiner, Supporter
Segmenting campaign goals into measurable stages
Making progress visible in real-time
Transparency is structural, not optional.

System Design Decisions
First, roles were defined ; Creator, Joiner, and Supporter , so users understood their level of involvement before contributing.
Next, campaigns were segmented into milestones. Instead of one abstract goal, progress became staged and visible.

Finally, the contribution flow was built to support both fiat and crypto payments. Regardless of payment type, every contribution maps directly to a milestone, updating progress in real time.

These decisions prioritized clarity over speed and credibility over urgency, ensuring that structure reinforced trust.
System Architecture
The system architecture supports branching role paths that converge into a unified milestone tracking system.
Creators define structure
Joiners align to milestones
Supporters contribute at defined stages
All paths converge into shared progress updates, enabling scalability for multiple campaigns and future engagement features.
